Joris Ebbers is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Amsterdam Business School. His main research interests are entrepreneurship, social networks, and organization. He studies this mostly in the context of creative industries and business incubation. He published in academic journals that include Journal of Business VenturingEntrepreneurship Theory & Practice, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Strategic Organization, and Human Relations. He was a visiting scholar at New York University Stern School of Business, Cass Business School London, University of Bologna, Royal Melbourne Institute of TechnologyFreie Universität Berlin, and LUISS Business School Rome. He is the co-founder of the Entrepreneurship and Management in the Creative Industries (EMCI) specialization in the Master in Business Administration. Finally, he is currently leading the multi-disciplinary NWO project Data inspired creativity: Using big data in cross-media creative innovation processes in collaboration with media company Talpa Network.
